Best Supplements for Keeping You Energized

Many people today complain of having low energy levels. In some cases, all they need is a good night sleep to help them recharge; however, chronic levels of low energy may indicate a bigger issue for the patient. Finding the root cause of low energy should be the first plan of action a person should take before going and buying supplements in hopes of finding the magic cure. First, let’s look at a few reasons that may be causing you to have low energy.

  1. Imbalanced Hormone Levels
  2. Low Thyroid Function
  3. Adrenal Fatigue
  4. Low Iron Levels
  5. Insomnia

If any of these could be the issue, you should always check with your physician before making any decisions on your own.

While your daily cup of joe may perk you up in the morning, it doesn’t really do much to help with the chronic low energy that people suffer from. You get much of your fuel for energy from vitamins and minerals. The first plan of action should be to look at what you are eating, how you are sleeping, and if you are getting enough exercise. Make sure you are eating whole foods that are nutrient dense. Sugar filled foods like candy, cereal, refined grains, and deserts often cause sugar crashes and people become dependent for the sugar to give them energy again. Instead, look for whole and nutrient dense foods. If you still struggle with low energy after you have cleaned up your diet, started exercising at least 150 minutes per week, and started getting 7-8 hours of sleep per night you can try incorporating some of these supplements mentioned below.

  1. Methylcobalamin (B-12): Vitamin B12 is needed in every cell of the body and cannot be made from our bodies. Vitamin B12 is made from microorganisms like yeasts, molds, algae, and bacteria. B12 helps our bodies to make red blood cells and red blood cells help you to create energy. B12 is important for energy, sleep, and the nervous system. Always look for B12 in the form of methylcobalamin because Methylcobalamin is the best absorbed form of vitamin B12. It’s the active form that makes its way into the brain and nervous system.
  2. Iron- Your body must have iron in order to make a protein called hemoglobin, which supplies oxygen all over the body. Without enough iron, you may lack energy and often feel fatigued because of the lack of oxygen to your body. The best way to know if you have low iron is for your doctor to do a blood test.
  3. Magnesium- Magnesium is involved in the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which is one of the body’s main energy sources. Without adequate amounts of magnesium, ATP cannot take place. Magnesium can also help people who have trouble sleeping. Magnesium promotes a feeling of relaxation and calmness. By taking magnesium, people are able to fall asleep and get better quality sleep therefore giving you more energy in the morning.
  4. ATP Ignite- This powder is to be dissolved into liquid and to help support a healthy energy level. Each stick contains B vitamins, electrolytes, trace minerals, amino acids, herbs, and antioxidants to fuel your body’s energy production. ATP Ignite also contains Purenergy, which is a caffeine that is absorbed more slowly and stays in your system longer than normal caffeine to help your energy last longer.
