There’s Hope. There’s Compounded Medications and Supplements. There’s Understanding.
For years, oncology patients have trusted Pharmacy Solutions for their compounding medications, ranging from Mebendazole (MBZ) that has shown to support anti-cancer activity to pharmaceutical grade supplements. Our work in this area may happen in the lab, but our passion extends well beyond. Our patients not only count on us for an understanding ear, but also information regarding products, like the MBZ and the Care Oncology (COC) Protocol. We understand that cancer is a very personal condition, and every patient has a unique set of challenges. We are here to help.
We offer education, compounded medicines and supplements that focus solely on oncology patients.
Mebendazole: Cancer Treatment
A drug that is in the benzimidazole family, called Mebendazole may offer new hope to patients suffering from cancer when other treatments have failed. It has been shown in multiple studies to have anti-cancer activity by interrupting how cancer cells divide and grow. Many different cancers have been studied in treating:
- Brain Cancers – glioblastoma multiforme
- Breast cancer & triple-negative breast cancer
- Colon & gastric cancers
- Lung cancer
- Malignant meningiomas
- Ovarian cancer
- Prostate cancer
The COC Protocol
The COC Protocol is a physician supervised treatment regimen developed for patients with cancer. Developed in 2013 by Care Oncology Clinic, The COC Protocol is an individualized therapeutic approach which seeks to simultaneously target multiple cancer pathways through pharmaceutical interventions that include medications and supplements.
Care Oncology’s specialist clinicians have experience with patients across different cancer types (solid tumors and blood cancers) and are familiar with many kinds of standard-of-care therapy. Care is personalized for individual needs, and all of Care Oncology’s patients receive regular monitoring and support throughout the duration of their treatment.
Pharmacy Solutions has partnered with Care Oncology to provide customized care based on your needs. We provide easy, affordable access to your protocol medications. If you do not have your COC discount code, please get started below.
How Does the COC Protocol Work
The COC Protocol is designed to work primarily by restricting the overall ability of cancer cells to take up and use (i.e., ‘metabolize’) energy. By starving cancer cells of energy substrates, the treatments in the COC Protocol may reduce the capacity of cancer cells to defend themselves against chemotherapy and radiation.
The COC protocol may also act on the many dysregulated signaling pathways within cancer cells helping to enable a process called apoptosis, or “programmed cell death,” allowing chemotherapy and radiation to kill cancer cells more effectively.
Cancer cells need huge amounts of energy to survive, and the vast majority of cancers use an adaptive process called aerobic glycolysis to generate the excessive energy they need. The COC Protocol may target the various molecular metabolic processes involved in and surrounding aerobic glycolysis, and this may help lower the overall metabolic rate of the cancer cell.
